Meta Ray-Ban Display are Ray-Ban frames with a small colour screen in the right lens, controlled by the Meta Neural Band, a wristband that reads muscle signals so a pinch or swipe of the fingers works as a click. The display shows messages, captions, directions and a camera viewfinder; it is not full augmented reality that overlays the room. The glasses went on sale in the US on 30 September 2025 at $799, with the UK, Canada, France and Italy promised for early 2026. In January 2026 Meta paused that international rollout, citing very limited stock and US waitlists running well into the year. At Connect on 23 September 2026 Meta put them on sale in the UK and Canada, starting at £749 including the wristband, with online ordering and retail sales in London. Germany, France and Italy follow on 13 October at €899. Prescription versions are supported at select UK retail locations. Several features announced alongside the launch, including hologram avatars on WhatsApp calls and cycling directions, are listed for the US first. For UK buyers this is a real, buyable product now, but a first-generation one; trying the wristband fit in a store before paying £749 is sensible.
